"Dead is still better"

Films: Pet Sematary (2019)

Alias: Church, Ellie Creed, Rachel Creed, Louis Creed

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest/Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of average humans (minus Church, a cat).

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Towards the end of the 80s, we bore witness to a terrifying adaptation of Stephen King's tale of kitty resurrection and the price of letting the grief of loss take over. Now, we see it again. And it's a lot more unsettling than before.

History: Deep in the woodlands of Ludlow, Maine (of course), there is a burial ground dedicated to many pets, hence the title, "Pet Sematary". Mostly creepy kids come there to bury them, but now, a family who lost their cat recently buried him there. But the cemetery is in fact cursed by the spirit of the Wendigo. Ergo, anything buried there will come back stronger, but way eviler. It even works on humans...

Notable Kills: The stairway death from the original is back and just as unsettling.

Final Fate: In the end, almost the entire Creed family is turned into the undead after they keep burying each other in the cemetery. Ironically, the only one not seen converted is Gage, but that probably won't last for long...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-As one might guess, the psychological torment and horror of seeing your loved ones in a state of psychotic non-life is harrowing. It doesn't help that this time, the cemetery is explicitly stated to be run by a demon of all things.

Trivia: -The original ending was so much worse, somehow. Basically, it showed Gage being forced to live with an entire zombified family forever. Or at least until he had to kill them himself.

-The reason Church was made often with hit-or-miss CGI was because the actual cat they used was just too damn lovable for him to even look like a menace. So at least they didn't turn to animal cruelty for that kind of authenticity.

Good thing the fossils underneath didn't get any treatment.

At least his eyes are normal here. You should be fine!
Seems nobody's visited for a while. And we do mean, a WHILE.

What a lousy Easter.

Even worse than Jehova's witnesses.
We're surprised the trailers didn't use an ironic nursery tune.

Somebody pile wet cement into here.
